I dont think it sends any data whilst you use it, it just uses the GPS chip to find out where you are.

I say this because you click the "POST" link in the app to upload that data.

I don't want to say it will but I am pretty sure if you ran it and then used your WIFI connection, it wouldn't cost a thing.

surely the fact I don't have 3G or Edge will make this expensive on data whilst out and about?
I'm really not sure about any location devices because my iphone is cracked and working on a cheap sim.
